St Andrews 10 Course Challenge

On Thursday 28th June, Ally Love, Graeme Dawson, Scott Finlayson and Gary Davidson will attempt to play all 10 St Andrews Golf Courses in the SAME day, all in aid of charity.

This is a gruelling schedule which will include, golfing and walking a distance of 35+ miles, playing to a par of 669, and involve an estimated total playing time of 20.5 hours! If successful, we will set a new World Record for the Most Consecutive Different Holes of Golf Played in a day (171) and hopefully raise a fair bit for our chosen charities.

We are not permitted to use Buggies, must walk the entire distance and hole out on every hole. Easy!

The charities we have chosen are Home Start, Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland, Sports Aid, and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Please visit our sponsorship sites on the right and help raise money for one or all our chosen charities

Thank you to the following for making this fundraising day possible - Fairmont St Andrews, Scotland for Golf, The Duke's, Kingsbarns, St Andrews Links Trust, Ladies Golf Union, Footjoy

Challenge completed

At 23:05hrs on the 28th June, on the 18th green of the New Course, Alastair Love, Scott Finlayson, Gary Davidson and Graeme Dawson completed what many people thought impossible - to complete all 10 St Andrews Courses in one day! Champagne flowed on the 18th Green as the four hobbled off the green to be met by the sizable gallery which had assembled to see history made!

Pictures and further comment will be posted here later.

The prize draw for the 4 night break at Fairmont Banff Springs in Canada will now be made on Monday at midday. As a result, there is still time to make a donation to one of the 4 charities on the right of this page and therefore have your name entered into the draw.

Thank you to everyone who supported us yesterday and especially to the 10 Courses (Balgove, Jubilee, The Old Course, Eden, Strathtyrum, Dukes, Torrance, Devlin, Kingsbarns and the New for making our speed golf possible!
